Google has announced the roll out of the mobile first indexing process last month and since then webmasters are getting notifications via Google Search Console of their websites being enabled for mobile first indexing.
Google has already crawled and indexed desktop version of your site’s content which can cause problems for mobile searchers when both desktop and mobile versions are different. Our analysis indicates that both mobile and desktop version of your website should be comparable.
This is a big milestone as Google originally announced mobile first indexing experiment in 2015-2016.
If you don’t have a mobile-friendly website, then you should potentially be worried. Of course, you should have been worried back in 2015.
